'The heart language’

I am a rare combination crystal comprised mainly of pink rhodonite with the inclusion of rhodochrosite, quartz, gold and silver. While I am mainly stone like in appearance I can feature some transparent sections with tiny sparkle specks. I am believed to have been found only in one very remote area at 12,000 feet above sea level at the historic Toltec gold mine in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado, which are part of the Rocky Mountains. Considered to be the ultimate heart healer and emotional balancer. I aim to open and hold space for love, trust and compassion to be at the forefront of your healing journey.

Rhodochrosite, know as a gemstone of emotional release is first used to turn your healing inwards to encourage standing in the light of your own self-confidence. Teaching the heart to assimilate painful feelings without shutting down. Rhodonite, known as the heart healer stone is then used to further enhance this self healing journey so that you are better equiped to beam those loving vibes back out into the world. The inclusion of quartz adds amplification to these properties.

Use: The perfect pocket or handbag piece due to the small size. The smooth surface is inviting to roll between your fingers in your pocket. This may assist to calm and centre the bodys energy for a sense of balance. Placed inside your bra with direct crystal on skin contact over the heart chakra is another comforting position.

Shape: Moon - new beginnings, hope, transition. Star - positivity, happiness and renewal.

Colour: Astorite is often a delicate pastel pink mixed with brown/grey/black veins. There may be gold and silver flecks in the materials structure. Pink - love. Brown - stability. Black - protection.

Chakra: Heart - the fourth chakra located at the centre of the spine at heart level. It is the centre of compassion, empathy, love, and forgiveness. When balanced brings feelings of connectedness, depth in relationships with others and love for oneself.

Intention: For added meaning set an intention to your piece or use a mantra such as ‘I release the past’ or ‘I love myself and I practice this daily’.

Interesting: Astorite is named after Colonel John Jacob Astor IV who owned the mine where it was discovered. He was also famous for building the luxurious Astoria Hotel in New York City. Considered the wealthiest man in America at the time, he was the wealthiest person on board the Titanic during its maiden voyage, he died when the ship sank. After his death, the Toltec mine was sealed by dynamiting the entrance and wasn’t reopened until 2001.

Measurements: Approximately 3cm in length. This purchase includes the one astorite moon & star pair photographed. 

In purchasing from the 'perfectly imperfect' section you are acknowledging the pieces have minor flaws, chips or other imperfections and no return is accepted as they are discounted to compensate for this.

Having said that, sometimes imperfections can add character and be worth the sacrifice on a beautifully functional piece. Reminding us of unconditional love with a  'flaws and all' outlook.
